He's a liar, he's a bully and now we find out Steven Harper's a goddam cry baby who stoops to using Canadian troops killed in Afghanistan as political protection for himself.
Yesterday in Petawawa Stephen Harper told military families and personnel that heroism in the war has been overshadowed by the squabbling in the Commons and he made the unbelievable claim that "“Last month, nine soldiers from Petawawa were honoured for their work in Afghanistan, but sadly the attention has not been on them. Those soldiers did not receive the attention they deserved because their story has been eclipsed by quarrels in the House of Commons.”
No wonder politicians are despised. Who wouldn't despise a slimy bastard who uses soldiers killed in battle to try to turn down the political heat being focused on him. To pretend that Canadians and other MPs are not honoring our military men and women who are on the front lines in Afghanistan is a lie and one of the most cowardly acts seen in Canada in decades. Harper has shown more sleeze in one afternoon than all the Liberal sponsorship scandals rolled into one. At least that was honest graft and corruption and didn't involve preying on the emotions of those who have lost a loved one or who have a loved one in harms way.
The sooner this scum bag is defeated the sooner we can try to fumugate the country but the smell from this pathetic piece of crap will linger long after he's gone.

what pmsh said was the truth! For every 100 questions about the detainees it would be nice to have one about the well being of the troups. It is a scary mission started by the liberals and they could work with the government to see it through. If that means Feb 09 so be it. but for gods sake lets work together to get it done and done right

Shortly after Steve descended from heaven he flew off to Afghanistan then to Washington in an orchestrated circus of decisive leadership. Now, every time the heat comes up from the fiasco that is now Afghanistan, weak-kneed Steve disowns his little war with characteristic sophist drivel that has become his signature.
Unlike most of Canada's Prime Ministers, Steve won't insure the "buck stops" with him.
Gutless wonder, he is.
You forgot to mention that Harper's remarks at Petawawa were met with full applause from the families. They are not stupid and can see the Libs playing the Left for votes even though the Libs sent their fathers and mothers into battle.
It must have really been hard for Harper to wear a Liberal "red" jacket at the rally.
I think we should let the families of the troops know how we feel - not just what Harper feeds them.
Harper is a snake in the grass. Dion's wife was supposed to speak at the rally and she was blocked - I mean really, how partisan can you get.
Harper was afraid she might just let the families know how much the troops are supported by ALL Canadians including Liberals, NDP and Green.
