The children in suits ... and other stuff

A couple of weeks off and everything goes to rat poop.

Garth Turner is a Liberal. Stephen Harper thinks there will be a testimonial for him by environmentalists in 10 or 15 years. Jack Layton thinks the NDP will win more seats in the next election. The Tories think negative ads about Dion 15 months before an election is a good use of money. Somebody has been spiking the water with goofy dust.

Have you noticed that the brain trust in the main political parties are children in suits? It's not a new trend - it started around Trudeau's ascention and escalated through the years. Trudeau also pioneered the emasculation of cabinet ministers. He not only called them non entities a block away from the House of Commons, he treated them that way and so today we have everything centred on one man, surrounded by children barely old enough to vote, most of whom have never lain awake at nights worrying about a mortgage and feeding his kids, and we wonder why we get idiotic governments with idiotic leaders out of touch with reality and the rest of the country. What else should we expect?

The first premier and prime minister to get rid of the kiddy korps and surround himself with people who know a little bit about life and the real world will probably reign forever. Don 't hold your breath though. This is a trend that has bitten deep and held for more than 30 years now.

What you say is so true! I cannot understand how so many Ministers could have so many staff just barely out of university. Many are very intelligent but the they don't have the life experiences yet to fully understand what regular citizens are experiencing. My observations are at the provincial level.
