Well-known Liberal supporter Hal Jackman has joined the throngs of people across Canada who are repulsed by Harpoon's booting of Mark Warner out of the Party. Jackman, who of course has never ever been a Tory supporter, was so angry about the Party's treatment of Warner that he phoned news media outlets yesterday in a rage about interference in Toronto Centre Rosedale's selection of a candidate.
It's time to start labelling Harpoon correctly so from now on, no more calling them tories. That is such an insult to real Tories. From here on they get called what they are - The Alliance.
There is nothing Progressive and nothing Conservative about Harpoon and his bag of buffoons. They are the Alliance and they attract knuckle draggers with all the intellect of a gnat, like the twit who said of Harpoon "All he does is come up with program after program to benefit all Canadians, all he is willing to do is stand up in the house and show the country his direction for Canada."
Let's see now, programs that benefit Canadians.
That would be the GST cuts. Yep. Every economist in Canada and most of the newspapers pointed out in editorials and columns that cutting the GST hurts the country in a number of ways. Read here or here or here.
Or we can talk about their unsophisticated approach to foreign affairs, in which they have managed on repeated occassions to insult and offend the emerging world power, China. We have been treated to the spectacle of Peter puppy dog McKay panting eagerly at the heels of Condy Rice while Harpoon sucks up to George W Bush.
We can talk about their mind boggling stupidity in their approach to urban Canada, their inability to grasp even the most basic of economic concepts about infrastructure or transportation.
Harpoon does show the country his intended direction, which even right wingers are getting uneasy about. What the country needs to do is show the Alliance the door, and then scramble to undo the damage this pudgy, egotistical Bush clone has already done to Canada.

intellect of a gnat eh? so in other words someone who can only repeat the term bush clone over and over again in their arguments against the cons, and how can you possibly wish to cater to the likes of China? the whole world knows their track record on human rights abuses, but thats ok right? because we make money off of them. I can't wait to see what you people try to blame when that idiot to the south is out of office, and Urban Canada screwed itself with the idea that everything should be taken care of for them thanks to the pandering of previous governments. As a final note, Warner is closer to being a dipper then anything so why let the man run under the conservative banner?
Ah I can appreciate the irony for you Libs, imagine making a promise and keeping it?
Seems once upon a time Mr. C managed a landslide victory based on repealing the much hated GST. So sorry he had to go back on that one because he DIDN"T have a clue how bad the Conservatives left the country in.
Mr. Harper made a promise, and thanks to Dions inability to live up to his princibles Mr. Harper will keep that promise.
But what are you gripeing about,Dalton is just going to take it back and then some by increasing the Provincial sales tax up to 10%. Funny he didn't mention that while he was avoiding the public during the last election. Hope Ontario is happy now.
Do you pepole ever learn?
'....was so angry about the Party's treatment of Warner that he phoned news media outlets yesterday in a rage about interference in Toronto Centre Rosedale's selection of a candidate...''
Strange, his removal was because of complaints about Warner at the grass roots level.
Parachuting candidates in (1/3 women) is exactly the same thing, expect noise from Lib grassroots too.

It's so pathetic to hear the CPC supporters have a double standard when it comes to accountability and think it's okay that the person that represents you can't even do town hall meetings or deal with constituents without approval of the PM and told exactly what to say.
I have a CPC MP (former Alliance) in my area - he's never, never had a town hall meeting or dealt with his constituents on issues - he just sends out flyers - a lot of them with questionnaires and photo-ops - and we, the taxpayers have to pay for a puppet.
Why not just get blow up dolls to fill the CPC seats in the HofC - would be a hell of a lot cheaper.
Another thing, I'm truly tired of the CPC supporters acting childish and playing the Johnnie hit me first came - that's for kids.
