John - you need to learn who does what lad!

John Tory, the leader of the big blue machine, who's running against Kathleen Wynne in Don Valley, should ask Wynne to recommend a political science prof to him who could teach him about who does what.

John ran off at the mouth several days ago saying Dalton McGuinty is to blame for the hand gun problem because he hasn't taken enough steps "to stem the flow of illegal handguns into Canada from the US," according to reports in the Globe and Mail. While he was at it, he criticized McGuinty because "there are only two dogs at the Windsor border crossing that can sniff out explosives and guns."

Now John, if ya wanna be premier, lad, ya better learn what the hell the premier can and can't do. The point is Johnnie, it's the friggin prime minister who is responsible for guns and gun laws and for borders and immigration and policing entry into Canada whether it be hand guns, right wing nuts or yer Aunt Bertha. It's all federal, lad, federal and not provincial.

So ya look dumb on two points Johnnie. You're a lawyer and a leader of a party and you don't know something as fundamental as who has jurisdiction over border sites and entry into Canada. And secondly, laddie - it's the leader of your own bloody party in power in Ottawa who won't don't anything to deal with this problem. He's too busy sucking up to George Bush and focusing on terrorists to ever risk offending the mighty Bush by complaining about hand guns.

So Johnnie, do your homework. You're becoming a joke laddie. You're either missing the point of things or you're talking out of both sides of your mouth more often than a jail house snitch.

Talk to Wynne - maybe the Minister of Education can get you into a crash course of Provincial Responsibilites 101. Ya need it boyo, ya really do.
