Well, Harper is now trumpeting an elected Senate. So the election will be held when?
Geeze, is there no end to the crap from this guy? He can't do an elected Senate without a constitutional change but that doesn't stop Harpo. Screw the details and crap all over the legalities, what Harpo wants bosses all.
Never mind we haven't the foggiest idea how such a change would impact on our government. Two elected bodies? And who takes precedence? And will the Senate have an absolute veto over the House of Commons? Why not? And who really speaks for Canada now? How do we know? Who's the most legitimate?
Aren't the Tories the famous party of "if it ain't broke don't fix it?"
These neocon social tinkerers. Geeeze - I'm gonna vote for anyone who says they'll support a law that puts into prison for a minimum of 5 years hard labour any damn fool politician that starts medling with infrastructure without complete studies of probable impact AND a positive vote by the electorate that the party should proceed with the change.
These dumb bastards - first they crap all over Ontario and now they want the whole damn country to mess in. We bloody Torontonians may not know much but we know when it looks like horseshit and smells like horseshit you can be pretty sure it is horseshit. We've had enough of if over the last 15 years that we're expert on it. So trust us - Harpo and his government? Horseshit. And they're hardly warmed up yet.
