What in the world can one say about Stephen bloody Harper and his unbelievable Quebec is a Nation motion? A lot of words and phrases come to mind, most unprintable. He and Ignatieff - where do these arrogant pricks come from and why us, oh Lord, why us? Why not visit them on the US where they would be an improvement - a huge improvement - over Bush. But why us? Is it because we aren't voting in large enough numbers? Is this payback for letting Volpe and Karygiannis and Wappell into the Party?
Just when Separatism was on the back burner, not gone but no longer dominating the national agenda, along comes a guy who thinks 30 years' absence from Canada qualifies him to be prime minister and he just steps right into it (along with piles of other crap but we'll focus on this one for now.) Which was bad enough but could have been overcome because the other candidates at least temporarily simply underscored how dumb the idea was and is.
But now Stephen bloody Harper has gotten into the act. These guys have way too much time on their hands. Isn't there some way we as citizens could restrict the whole damn bunch of them to 20 days a year? Do what you wanna do because in 20 days we shut you down until next year. Then ya all go home. No ministers in Ottawa, no committee meetings - everybody vamoose and leave us alone. Maybe then we'd have an end to the bullshit. Stockwell Day wouldn't be able to complete a thought in 20 days. One of Gerrard Kennedy's monotonous monologues takes that long to be delivered. 20 days would give Peter McKay enough time to find Texas on the map. Then - done! We send the whole lot home for the whole year.
Works for me. Anything to prevent these catastrophic brain cramps that seem to be attacking anyone within spitting distance of the PMO or the leadership of the Liberals.
Geeze, you don't think Stephen bloody Harper thought this was a good idea do ya? For sure he was just trying for political one-upmanship, right? He couldn't really be serious about this!!!??? Naw, even he's not that dumb. Has to be good old, crass old political opportunism.
20-day term limits - let's go for it. It's an idea who'se time really is now.
